How many times have you had a conversation with someone and at the end of the discussion one party says, “Well, it’s food for thought?” It may be something deeply thought provoking such as new therapy options for curing lung cancer or as silly and simple as the thought of fresh anchovies on a pizza. Both spark thought and perhaps debate in your mind, albeit, for various reasons.
Merriam Webster states:
Definition of food for thought- Something that should be thought about or considered carefully. The unexpected test results have given us food for thought.
Perfect. Now, think about your thought process when creating content for your business, website, or personal biography. What is the goal of the piece in terms of the reader response? Do you want them to have that ‘hmm, food for thought moment’? Should they contemplate and consider your words before them?
Got you thinkin’ huh?
The written word is a food. It is nourishment for your brain when you learn, or feeds the soul when you read to relax and laugh. Written stimuli are everywhere from billboards when you drive 65 mph or news updates when you read them on your phone at a stoplight. (never read and drive!)
Take your time when you write about yourself or your business. As always, if you need help, contact us. We feed your thoughts and drive you to put your best ‘word foot’ forward.
Happy reading, and writing.
