What is a call to action (CTA)?
Some of you may be thinking, are you kidding? Be kind. This is a no judgment zone and there is no such thing as a stupid question. A call to action in the world of marketing and sales appears as a button, box, link, or content piece meant to encourage a user or visitor to take an action:

Why does a CTA make people uncomfortable?
You have heard it before and maybe you have even experienced it. Fear. People are afraid you are asking for an email address or directing them to click on a button and they will forever be hounded by you via email marketing. That is simply not true. There are some bad apples everywhere but often times, the company just wants to reach more people and learn more about their prospects and clients. likes and dislikes.
Let’s change the perception!
Think for a moment. What would make you as the user click that button or complete a form? Write the call to action as if you were the user or visitor. Be creative and think of some new ways to ask for their email or entice them to download the app.
